Why you should create art?
You probably would’ve asked yourself this question many times that if science and maths can sum up everything of the world then why do we need art? What is the use of other subjects if science & maths holds the logics and answers to everything?
So, the question is what is Art?
The shortest answer I can give you is, that even science and
maths are art. Yes, that too a small part of art. When you study science or
maths you must have seen how many things we imagine? We imagine variables,
field lines, coordinate axes. All of this imagination comes from art.
You all must’ve heard that without science this world cannot
exist. Now hear this, "without art science cannot exist, neither can this
world."
All laws of science and maths began with an imagination. Every
concept of math is defined by some assumptions and those assumptions and
imaginations come from the art we see behind, things we imagine, stories we
create in our head instead of seeing something as it is.
Once a dentist told me, "Science can only help me
understand the patient's problem to a certain point, solving the problem of
each person in a different way is more of an art. And you can't do it until you
really love to do it."
Art is not just taking a piece of paper and drawing
something but that's how every form of art begins. The easiest way to make your
imagination real is to make it on the blank piece of ppr then it just gets
easier to make it real.
All the technology in today's world only exists because
someone someday started drawing on a blank piece of paper.
What are the benefits of creating art in our life?
In our everyday life we are so caught up in daily tasks that
everything that keeps happening just keeps getting forgotten or supressed. Neither
we are able to give time to ourselves to think about it nor we are taught to do
so. This is where art comes in.
Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.
- Pablo Picasso
- One of them is that it reduces stress and improves our mood as it helps us unwind and declutter the mess, we have carrying around within ourselves. It is a way to relax to and calm us amid the chaos.
- We can find answers to our problems, feel at ease while working on a piece of art and most importantly when we get up after finishing art, we find yourself at peace because it helps to sort the emotional turmoil inside us.
While drawing I discover what I really want to say
- Dario Fo
- Art is a form of self-expression; often what one can’t say with words can say through art.
- There are various forms of art like drawing, painting, writing, dancing etc. and one can express themselves and pour their mind and heart out through these forms of art.
How does creating art help in studying and learning?
- There are many forms of art like drawing mandalas, which are proven to be effective ways to improve concentration.
- It helps in cognitive development which can have a positive effect on math skills and other related subjects.
- Creating art is great way to build problem solving, creative thinking skills and also gives a different perspective/ view towards things. It opens door to imagination and innovation.
- It teaches you to trust the process and give things time to happen. It is a great method of learning by creating and doing.
This is why, whenever you are going through a lot or wish to
relax or even want to study with concentration first allow yourself to create
art freely. You’ll know its effect on your own.
